Demi Moore has an estimated total of 10 rescue dogs, which we understand are all or mostly adopted rescue dogs. The pack includes mainly small breed and Chihuahua mixes, along with a Yorkie and a Dachshund. She shared this Christmas photo in 2021 with 9 dogs, but it notably doesn’t include her most famous pooch, Pilaf. Her daughters also all have small-breed rescue dogs who often visit, which makes it hard to identify them all and which pup belongs to which dog mom.

Demi Moore adopted a tiny long-haired Teacup Chihuahua named Pilaf in the summer of 2021. Pilaf’s nicknames are “little shadow” and “Little Mouse”. Moore hasn’t revealed why she named her pup after a delicious middle eastern rice dish.

In April 2023, Moore started an online campaign to have Pilaf considered for the Guinness World Record for Shortest Dog.
